Prime Integrated Waste Solutions Inc. (PWS) was established to answer the increasing demand for waste management solutions in industrialized and fast-growing cities in the Philippines.
It operates two of the Philippines’ only automated materials recovery facilities (MRFs): one in Cebu and one in Pampanga, with plans to develop more MRFs across the country to industrialize the waste management system at high scale.
PWS uses state-of-the-art equipment for waste segregation and storage, such as vibrating sieves, baler systems, and magnetic separators, to maximize resource recovery. It aims to significantly reduce landfill volumes, thereby lessening organic waste ending up decomposing and producing harmful methane emissions.
In Cebu, it currently processes 1,000 tons of municipal solid waste daily. Its Pampanga MRF, inaugurated in June 2024, has a capacity of 5,000 tons per day.
The overall objective is to optimize value created from waste by capitalizing on opportunities from Prime Infra’s complementary sustainable fuels business.
June 05, 2024: Committed to industrialize the waste management system in the country, Prime Infra and its wholly owned subsidiary, Prime Integrated Waste Solutions (PWS), inaugurated its large-scale, automated materials recovery facility (MRF) in Porac, Pampanga.
June 19, 2024: Razon-led Prime Infrastructure is turning trash into cash by investing over P1 billion into an automated materials recovery facility in Porac, Pampanga. Its wholly owned unit Prime Integrated Waste Solutions is automating waste management at the Porac facility, which can process up to 5,000 tons of waste per day.
October 23, 2023: PWS has started supplying low-carbon refuse-derived fuel (RDF) produced from processed municipal solid waste.
